Continuum

is an enterprise based search, filtering, reporting, integrating and interoperability software platform that provides integration of modern systems into unified logical web screens accessible via any web browser on any end user's computer and is protected by security protocols. It uses various Java Enterprise programs to interrogate disparate and fragmented data and display the result in domain-specific screens and reports accessible via any web browser.

Addressing Fractured Data and Disparate Systems: Continuum

is based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework developed to overcome the problems associated with a "Fractured Data Environment". A fractured data environment occurs when legacy systems, new systems, acquired systems, and individual user software (think excel on a desktop) would benefit greatly from being integrated into a single interoperable whole, but cannot because of the developmental history, operational environment, security environment, communication to and accessibility of each individual system.

Continuum

is unlike most modern software in that it can facilitate the interaction with, and extraction of, data from multiple distributed systems. Each of these distributed systems can have unique individual access with either public, proprietary, or vendor-specific protocols. It can interact across geographic and enterprise separated repositories when permissions based on pre-set parameters are in place. It can retrieve whole documents, database information or specific information from within documents independent of their format. Alternatively, with documents being reworked, it can be used to transform whole documents into searchable components that allow for data draw-down and global document update, revision and reuse.

Continuum

has been proven in a defence context that meets defence level security and IT system management requirements. It has proven its effectiveness within the US DoD as evidenced in the two case studies:
